A new set of colorways is coming our way from Aimé Leon and New Balance. On April 16, 2021, New Balance is going to release two new designs on the New Balance 550 in collaboration with the brand Aimé Leon Dore. Read all about the collaboration below! The Aimé Leon Dore style Aimé Leon Dore exude basic and vintage vibes. The brand was born in Queens, New York in 2014 and since then ALD has been trying to keep their designs simple. The brand makes sure that the design reminds people of New York in its earlier days. New Balance 550 x Aimé Leon Dore ALD has also brought back this look on the New Balance 550 collab which comes out on 16 April 2021. Image via Highsnobiety The colours used in this design have a faded or discoloured version of the original colours. This gives a nostalgic feeling when wearing this pearl of a shoe. As you can see from the picture above, ALD has designed two different colourways. The basis of the sneakers are very similar they have a beige colour with a few colourful accents. There is a red variant and a yellow variant. These colours can be seen, for example, on the 'N' on the side and the New Balance logo on the tongue. The vintage vibe makes the shoes timeless and therefore they can be combined with every outfit. Aimé Leon Dore History In 2014, fashion designer Teddy Santis founded the brand and describes Aimé Leon Dore as a nostalgic feeling back to the 90s.
